| ADVENTURE YOUTH CAMPS RAFTING & KAYAKING These are fun! Since 1996 Montana River Guides has offered these unique day 4 and 5 day camps for kids age 11 through 16. We integrate learning practical river skills with personal development in a fun, challenging setting. Participants learn the fundamentals of river safety and rafting or kayaking while developing their confidence, self esteem, leadership, and teamwork. Our student ratio is low to ensure the quickest learning curve for each participant. We pride ourselves in our ability to run safe, educational and fun camps that kids of all abilities and types can enjoy. Our state of the art equipment ensures the highest margin of safety. Parents are always welcome to come see our facilities for themselves and meet with our experienced staff. Raft Camps During the rafting camp, each day the kids navigate a progressively more challenging section of river. The camp culminates in a trip down the Alberton Gorge where, under the supervision of professional guides, the students guide each other down this fun whitewater run. Kayak Camps These camps are sure to be fun and exciting for your kids! Our camps are designed to teach kids the basic skills of kayaking in a safe and enjoyable manner. By the time the camp's over, campers will not only have increased their own confidence and self esteem from the skills they've learned, but will also have had a great time working through teambuilding games with their new found friends! Camp Details Each camp will be held in a variety of scenic and exciting places, from the mighty Clark Fork and Blackfoot rivers to the Frenchtown pond- a perfect spot for beginner kayaking. All camps include from 1 to 4 overnights where students will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful and secluded Montana River Guides Ranch, located 5 miles west of Alberton and surrounded by over 40 acres. Students will also be provided with all necessary river gear and equipment, and student to staff ratio will be kept low to ensure excellent instruction and safety. Click here to view our schedule.
