Rafting, Riverboarding & Rescue: A Community Leader
We are the Alberton Gorge's leading outfitter with a reputation for innovation and professionalism in Montana's whitewater community. We introduced riverboarding to Montana over fifteen years ago and were the first and only Montana outfitter to be certified to teach river rescue. The regional leader in swiftwater rescue and whitewater rafting instruction, Montana River Guides has provided river rescue training for over 200 different agencies and organizations. Through our work with the Whitewater Rescue Institute, we continue to be a leader and innovator in river safety and rescue instruction. Professional river guides and instructors, professional rescuers, agency river rangers and managers, and many more private rafters, canoeists and kayakers have attended Montana River Guides Swiftwater Rescue Classes, Raft Guide Schools, Kayak and Rafting Clinics, and summer Youth Adventure Camps. MRG played a key role in Xtreme Sports 4 Vets, a project that helps veterans with PTSD enjoy extreme sports. We also offer free trips for people undergoing treatment for cancer in our River Care program.
